Drug Offences

In August of 2020 the Public Prosecution Service of Canada's (PPSC) issued a new directive requiring the Federal Prosecutors to charge only the “most serious” of drug crimes. Since then, we have been able to eliminate charges of simple possession and/or reduce possession for the purpose of trafficking down to simple possession for a lesser burden on an accused.

With the increase in Opioid users in Ontario we have been experienced with different drugs coming into our cities. This requires up to date knowledge on the substances, the impacts on people and the repercussions an accused may face. We have the team and resources to be able to handle such cases to help you navigate through the system.
